Illinois State Goal 26 provides that the student should be able to understand the elements necessary for the production of an art work. Students acquire the skills that are required to perform certain tasks that result in the manifestation of a work of art or a production. The individual learns to take their ideas and translate them into a dance, drama, music, or a work of art that is the result of their own expression. Illinois State Goal 26 also indicates the importance of the role of the artist.
